Chris Van Buren –
VP HR Disciplines
 Read more about Chris
Chris is a Partner at Embrook Benefits Consulting. Embrook Benefits Consulting works with small and mid-sized businesses to create, manage and communicate health and wellness benefits programs. Chris is extending his family's experience in the employee benefits business into a fifth decade, but he also has valuable experience outside of the benefits profession.
After 10 years in the benefits consulting business, Chris worked at companies that employed between 5 and 70,000 people (Microsoft Corporation and two software start-up companies). This showed him a totally different side of the benefits world – he went from consultant to the consumer. He saw the affects of policies and changes to benefits among his co-workers and the difficulty of communicating benefits.
It was these years away from the business that reignited his excitement to get back to helping both employers and employees navigate the increasingly complex world of health, accident and wellness benefits.
Chris and his wife, Tina, share a passion for their two kids, their business and platform tennis and live in Abington where Chris also coaches little league baseball.
