More and more employers are adding the requirement for its applicants to have a HR certification, whether PHR, SPHR or GPHR.  As a result, the interest to obtain certification by HR professionals has rapidly increased. Certification tells employers that an applicant is committed to the Human Resource profession and that s/he possesses the level of knowledge necessary for the job.  This webinar will provide information about the three certifications offered by The HR Certification Institute, PHR, SPHR & GPHR, including the requirements to apply for each certification, available resources to prepare for the certification exams and what material is covered in the exams for each level.

About the speaker:
Sheila Scanlon, SPHR, is a Knowledge Manager for iWorkwell, Inc., a premier Human Resources subscription web service.  She is responsible recruiting and developing subject matter experts, writing and editing articles for iWorkwell's web site, keeping the site up to date, and managing the company's interns.  Sheila previously worked in Human Resources in law firms for 20 years and before that she worked in the insurance industry.  She is a long-time member of  SHRM as well as Philadelphia SHRM where she currently holds the Certification Chair position. Sheila facilitates a certification study group for PHR and SPHR candidates that meets weekly in Center City.
