Certification tells employers that an applicant is committed to the Human Resource profession and that s/he possesses the level of knowledge necessary for the job. About the speaker:
Sheila Scanlon, SPHR, is a Knowledge Manager for iWorkwell, Inc., a premier Human Resources subscription web service. She is responsible recruiting and developing subject matter experts, writing and editing articles for iWorkwell's web site, keeping the site up to date, and managing the company's interns. Sheila previously worked in Human Resources in law firms for 20 years and before that she worked in the insurance industry. She is a long-time member of SHRM as well as Philadelphia SHRM where she currently holds the Certification Chair position. Sheila facilitates a certification study group for PHR and SPHR candidates that meets weekly in Center City.
