In this economic climate, companies are faced with the challenges of providing the same, if not better, services but with a reduced workforce. This means that the employees who remain have the added pressure of taking on the responsibilities of those who were laid off. The potential for employee burn out and increased stress levels are high and make it essential for employers not to ignore Work Life Balance issues. If companies are to retain their high performance and key employees, they will need to ensure that employees’ work life balance concerns are addressed.

In this session, you will learn the techniques to help your employees balance the demands on them as an employee and as an individual.

About the Speakers:

Lynn Ingenhuett-Quinn

Lynn Ingenhuett-Quinn, Director of the Work Life Balance Organization is a pioneer in the field of Workplace and Life effectiveness. She is a recognized work/life strategy expert with 15 years experience working with Fortune 1000 companies, professional organizations, government agencies, academic institutions, and individuals.

At Work Life Balance.org she developed the first regional Work Life Balance Conference which brought together employers to learn about cutting edge workplace effectiveness strategies which included understanding the importance of work/life balance, diversity, health/wellness, management training, mentoring, and benchmarking tools to support organizations so they can be an employer of choice, and create an effective work environment. These events have proven extremely effective for 100’s of employers since they walk away with resources they can use and apply in their organizations.

She educates organizations on the importance of investing in organizational effectiveness initiatives, and how it will positively impact the organization, individual, and the bottom line. Lynn has been instrumental in creating and presenting unique workplace strategies and workshops for organizations in order to support their visions, goals, and employees needs to balance their work, and personal life.

In addition, she developed the Work Life Balance website that allows companies to communicate together and benchmark their workplace initiatives. It provides mentoring and an important educational venue and dialogue for members. She collaborates with key academic and corporate leaders to evaluate the impact of demographic trends on organizational strategies and culture. Lynn also builds partnerships with local and national organizations with similar missions and goals to broaden the reach of knowledge regarding the importance of creating innovative, diverse, and inclusive organizations.

She was editorial consultant for, "Integrating Work and Personal Life: The Wharton Resource Guide. This was a groundbreaking collection of 35 learning activities geared to developing skills in how to integrate work and personal life. She worked with the Work/Life Integration team at the second Wharton Roundtable that addressed management and individual work/life competencies.

Most recently she worked in partnership with employers in supporting their work environment and diversity initiatives, by creating opportunities for persons with disabilities to work in meaningful jobs.

Prior to joining Work Life Balance Ms. Quinn held management positions in sales and marketing, including International responsibilities in Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East for Bristol Myers Squibb. She received her bachelor's degree in Marketing from California State University at San Luis Obispo, and her Masters degree in Organizational Dynamics from University of Pennsylvania.

Lynn is married and has three children ages 19, 16 and 11.

Kristen Piersol-Stockton

Ms. Stockton was born and raised in Pennsylvania and is a graduate of West Chester University, West Chester, PA with a BA in Education. She received her MA degree from American University, Washington, DC. And has lived and worked in the greater Washington area for close to 20 years.

She is the current Associate Director for Workplace Solutions for KPMG and works out of the Washington , DC office; however she is responsible for managing work-life, diversity and inclusion, organizational effectiveness and corporate social responsibility for 4,000 employees and Partners in offices as far South as Miami, FL and as far North as Philadelphia, PA.

In her current position she develops strategies and programs that position KPMG as a great place to work and build a career, including health and wellness initiatives, mentoring, managing diversity networks and inclusion seminars, work-life effectiveness seminars and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Her background is in education with an emphasis on arts and culture education, philanthropy, community involvement and has close to 20 years experience in working with companies to build effective workplace volunteer and philanthropic strategies that engage the community, the business and the employee to meet societal needs. She has served as a presenter and facilitator for numerous workshops and panels leading thought leadership around corporate citizenship, social responsibility and inclusion strategies, most recently at the Conference Boards Work and Family Institute.
